Tutorial: SketchUp to Lumion

This simple guide and tutorial from SketchUp to Lumion. TO download Lumion Demo click HERE.

Step 1: Exporting

Use COLLADA files (*.DAE) as intermediate file format. Export from SketchUp to DAE file, and then import into Lumion.

Exporting:

To export from SketchUp chose from menu: File -> Export -> 3D Model



 Step 2: Exporter options:


To set exporter options click "Options" button:

 

Notes:  Make sure that you select "Triangulate All Faces" option in exporter. We recomend to select option "Preserve Component Hierarchies".

Flipped faces:

If you have problem with flipped faces in Lumion, try to explode you whole scene in SketchUP just before export to Collada.
